The Glass

Information about the Glass (sealed units) we put in Pioneer Windows.

• 2 Clear panes with 1 Low E pane or 1 Clear with 2 Low E panes are the 2 most common options in residential windows.
• Argon is also available.
• Argon is an gas that can be put into the space between each layer of glass (invisible). Argon is a better insulator than air and it improves heat loss or gain depending on the season.
• Low E glass also increase thermal performance. In the winter Low E allows the sun to heat up your home and in the summer it does not. In the winter it keeps the heat in your home at night. Scroll down to view the performance numbers of each specific product.
